This tool uses third-party APIs to provide real-time data. Only the requested information (track ID, IP address) is sent through my server, keeping your identity and personal data private. The third-party service only sees my server's request, not yours.
How Traceroute Works
What is Traceroute?
Traceroute is a network diagnostic tool that shows the path packets take from your computer to a destination server, displaying each "hop" (router) along the way.
What You'll See
- Hop Number: The sequence of routers
- IP Address: Each router's address
- Hostname: Domain name if available
- Response Times: Latency in milliseconds
- Timeouts: * when a router doesn't respond
Protocol Options
ICMP: Most common, works with most networks
UDP: Traditional traceroute method
TCP: Useful when ICMP is blocked
Important Notes
- Some routers may not respond (shown as *)
- Paths can change between runs
- Results depend on network conditions
- Private addresses cannot be traced
Privacy & Security: Traceroute only reveals the public network path.
Your request is processed server-side to protect your real IP address from being exposed to intermediate routers.
