How the Lookup Works
What is a Deezer Track ID?
Every track on Deezer carries a number that identifies it, and that number is the last part of its address. In deezer.com/track/3135556 the identifier is 3135556.
The number belongs to one recording, not to a song: the same song on a single, on an album and on a compilation has three different identifiers, each with its own duration and position.
How to Use
- Paste the identifier, or the whole Deezer address of the track. Both work, and the address is reduced to the number.
- The button in the field looks up one of ten sample tracks, for trying it out.
- Any line of the result can be clicked to copy it.
- Every lookup has its own address, so
/lookup/deezer/track/3135556can be linked to and shared.

Important Notes
- The answer comes from Deezer and is only as current as their catalogue. A track that has been taken down answers with an error rather than with old data.
- An identifier is not a search. There is no way from a title to a number here; that number has to come from Deezer.
- The cover is loaded from Deezer's image host, so that one request does leave this site. Nothing else about the lookup does.
Privacy & Security: the identifier is sent to this site, which asks Deezer and passes the answer back. Deezer never learns who asked. The album art is the one thing your browser fetches from them directly.
